The book prey by Michael Crichton is a very interesting book. Mixed with some suspense and a lot of mystery keeps the reader alert on what will happen next. The novel is about a retired computer programmer, Jack that has 3 kids and a wife, who is a vice president of a nano technology company, Julia. While Jack struggles to keeping there kids schedules and being there for them, he also faces a possible divorce because he feels that she is having am affair because she’s been absent from home from her job. Her attitude toward the children was very odd and aggressive, even the kids felt that she was different. She was sent to the hospital from a car accident that had occurred. After the accident, Jack was notified to work and help where Julia works and he accepted to see what was going on. He went off to the lab, leaving the kids to be taken care of her sister, where it was being held at Mojave Desert. What he saw was much unexpected, a swarm of nano particles that escaped from an experiment and are uncontrollable. He found his old team he uses to work with but they didn’t seem themselves, they were more or less worried. They explained that the creation they made was under the orders of the government that they created the swarms because the have intelligence of other countries making drone to see the battlefield with a camera. They also added a program so they would act as predators and become lethal to its prey. That program was only known for Jack and only he knows the code. They are self sustaining and could reproduce themselves and become more deadly each hour. They must stop this before it reaches to a global threat and become an epidemic, leaving nothing for humanity.

Unwind is one of the books that I enjoyed reading the most. It was one of the longest book I have ever finish reading. It was written by Neal Shusterman and it’s about a new way for parents to give their unwanted children away. Unwinding is when unwanted children are given away to special places where they take children apart and use all parts for transplants. The only condition about this crazy practice is that children are supposed to be kept alive during the entire process. The main characters are three guys that are to be “unwind”. Connor is the trouble maker that doesn’t like school and is always getting into trouble which makes his parents decide to unwind him and so stop all the trouble he causes at school and home. Lev is a kid that was destined to be unwind because of his religion and at first he is ok with it until he finds Connor who kidnaps him to save him from being unwinded but Nail doesn’t like it because he thought it was his destiny to give his body parts to people that needed them. And Risa is a girl who lived in a state home and was being unwind to leave more space for new incoming kids, she finds Connor and Lev in her way to the place where she is going to be unwinded and escapes along with the other two kind on a race to save their lives and until they turn 18. The book is great and I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in fiction books and that has the time to read it. I have read about 100 books during my life and so far it is the best one.
